  1. General Knowledge and Information: It's the honor system folks. If I can provide you with knowledge that will help you learn about taking trips in Maine, or learn about the many outdoor skills listed on this website, I hope you will reimburse me for my time and effort to help you. The amount of reimbursement is up to you though. This allows you to be fully satisfied with what you pay for services provided, and a satisfied customer is what I want you to be. On average, a Registered Maine Guide makes between $10 and $20 per hour.

  2. Fee for finding you a Registered Maine Guide and/or Sporting camp for your trip: If I am able to find you a Registered Maine Guide and/or Sporting Camp for the trip of your choice, at the time of your choice, the finders fee is 10% of the amount you pay the Registered Maine Guide that you will hire and/or 10% of the cost of the Sporting Camp that you stay at. For example, if you ask for and I find you a Sporting Camp for two nights and a Registered Maine Guide to take you on a day fishing trip, and you pay $200 for lodging and $150 for the Registered Maine Guide for the day, then the finder's fee will be $35 (10% of $350). You can pay me after you take the trip and are satisfied with the Registered Maine Guide's service and/or the Sporting Camp. With this plan, I am motivated to find you a Registered Maine Guide and Sporting Camp that will give you quality service. We're back to the honor system though. I hope you will reimburse me for the time, effort, and expense I use to find you a quality Registered Maine Guide for your trip. If you would like me to find you a Registered Maine Guide and/or a Sporting Camp, fill in the Registered Maine Guide/Sporting Camp Request Form, or print the form, fill it in, and send it to me at Stoney's Guide Service, 30 Howe Road, Fairfield, Maine 04937. I will work to find you a Registered Maine Guide and/or a Sporting Camp in approximately a week's time. There is no guarantee that I can find you a Registered Maine Guide and/or a Sporting Camp within a week, but I will make every effort to do so.

  3. Fees for posting a description of your service with a link on this website are described in each category of posting (see the list of several Services available to you through Stoney's Guide Service and this website) .

  4. Waiver of Liability: If I find you a Registered Maine Guide that can guide you on the trip of your choice at the time of your choice, or a Sporting Camp for lodging purposes, you will actually be hiring the Registered Maine Guide and making the lodging agreement with the Sporting Camp; the hiring and lodging agreements will be exclusively between you and the Registered Maine Guide that takes you on the trip, and between you and the Sporting Camp that you stay at. The Registered Maine Guide that you hire and the Sporting Camp that you stay at are totally responsible for the services that they provide; Stoney's Guide Service will not be liable for the services provided by the Registered Maine Guide that you hire or the Sporting Camp where you make arrangements to stay.
